Our mission is to provide compassionate, quality care to urban wildlife in need, with a special focus on wild mammals, and to provide public education programs that foster peaceful coexistence between humans and wildlife.
Urban Utopia Wildlife Rehabilitation is a not-for-profit organization with tax-exempt status, run entirely by volunteer work. We are working hard on building a network of support and guidance from both the wildlife rehabilitation community and the general public, as well as working with wildlife professionals and New York City Parks Department officials to improve information, working protocols, and growth.
As we grow, we hope to be able to provide career opportunities for wildlife and veterinary professionals, and training for future rehabbers. We are also working to grow our educational programming for schools, community groups and the general public.
Urban Utopia Wildlife Rehabilitation, inc. does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our staff, clients, volunteers, subcontractors, and vendors.
